We can provide/contribute to:
(1) peer-review expertise, both as researchers and nature conservation experts;
(2) routine sample investigations, especially those concerning taxonomic identification of some arthropod groups (including insect pests), insect morphology, and routine statistic analysis (remotely);
(3) phylogenetic analysis of morphological characters (TNT, WinClada);
(4) manuscript preparations as experts in some fields of zoology and ecology;
(5) biodiversity research based on open data resources (iNaturalist, gbif).
The members of the department essentially contributed to the development of the Emerald network in Ukraine.
The research activities of the department are mainly focused on insect morphology and phylogeny, arachnology, hydrobiology, toxicology, and practical aspects of nature conservation. Our buildings are not damaged, but there are numerous restrictions concerning field activities, and access to the lab facilities is quite unpredictable, affecting our everyday work style negatively.
We are looking to collaborate with foreign institutions to continue our topic research.

We are also interested in involving our students (about 20-30 persons per year) in the research activities.
